Open Production Team Positions:

Requirements for all positions are the same and shared below. Any specific considerations for a position will be discussed during a phone interview.

  • Weekday Morning Team Member: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position working a Mon-Fri schedule, 5 AM - 1 PM.

  • Evening Team Member: This is a part-time position (5-6 hours per week) working a Sun-Mon and Wed-Thurs evening for 1-1.5 hours.

What To Know

Work Description

  • Responsible for assisting the Maltsters and Assistant Maltsters in performing the job duties necessary for processing batches of raw grain into malt and maintaining high quality standards

  • Warehouse Maintenance and upkeep (keep in a tidy and orderly fashion, take out trash etc.) 

  • Order fulfillment including pull, stage, and document orders

  • You must be able to perform, and be comfortable with, physical labor.

  • Participate in staff and team meetings

  • Work as part of the overall team to support other projects

  • Participate in occasional trainings and professional development opportunities

  • Other duties as required and assigned 

  • Schedule is 5 days a week

  • Some Holiday work required due to the nature of the malting process 

Job requirements

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to learn and apply new skills.

  • Ability to endure physical labor and be on your feet for periods of 2-6 hrs.

  • Ability to shovel grain and green malt for periods of 1-2 hrs.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly without injury.

  • Reliable transportation to/from work.

  • Flexibility to meet adjusting work schedules.

Job duties

  • Performing the required duties involved in malting, cleaning, warehousing, order fulfillment, and quality control of the malt.

  • Duties may change depending on the season and adjusting workloads.

  • Malting skills taught with on-the-job training

Preferred Experience

  • Be over 21 years old.

  • Proper forklift operation.

  • Experience with hand and power tools.

  • Warehousing experience

  • Desire to learn about the malting industry.

  • Interest/passion about the craft food and beverage industry.

  • Malt and beer knowledge.

Compensation:

  • Starting Pay Range $16.00-$18.50 per hour depending on position

  • Employer subsidized healthcare (Full Time Positions)
