Blue Ox Malthouse combines modern technology with traditional floor malting methods and regionally produced grains to create consistent, unique, high-quality malts. We follow the highest standards using in-house and ASBC-approved methods from field to finished product.

Floor Malted Pale

Our award winning Pale is light, clean, and crisp and has mild sweet and grainy aromas. It is fully modified for high extract and enzyme potential. Elevate lighter styles like Kolsch, Blondes and Pales. A foundational malt for any style. 1.7-2.2 SRM.

Floor Malted Wheat

Our lightly kilned Wheat malt provides flavors and aromas of sweet cereals along with light color and high extract. Maybe our favorite malt to see on the germination floor! 2-2.5 SRM.

Floor Malted Dark Munich

Darker color, more intense toasty flavors and aromas come with our melanoidin-rich Dark Munich, along with notes of graham crackers and biscuits. 8-12 SRM.

Our darkest kilned malt goes deep with molasses, tobacco, and  raisins. 60 SRM.

Floor Malted Dark Wheat Malt

Malt fans rejoice, this new favorite boasts intense flavors of pretzels, toast, peanut  brittle, figs. 4-6 SRM.

Floor Malted Triticale Malt

A cross between the full, sweet cereal aromas of wheat and the  slightly earthy flavors of rye malt. No husk; well modified; lots of sweet, floral,  cereal flavors. 2-3 SRM.

Floor Malted Organic Pale

Certified Organic by MOFGA, this is our organic version of our Pale malt. Using the same 2-row Newdale variety, this malt is well-modified for high extract and diastatic power. Great base for any organic brew.

Floor Malted Vyenna

Pronounced "Vye-enna" in a nod to the Maine town by the same name, our Vyenna comes packed with notes of hazelnuts, bread  crusts and honey. Kolsch, IPAs, Pale Ales, Lagers...this extremely flavorful malt will  bring most recipes to the next level. 3-4 SRM

Floor Malted Yankee Pils

Gentler processing yields a super light and grainy finish while still well modified for high extract. Great for light and delicate malt profile styles, NEIPA, Pilsner, Saison. 1.4 SRM.

Our Award-winning Light Munich brings lightly toasted bread crust rounded by a deep biscuity sweetness and hints of peanut butter. Character-building malt for many styles. 4-6 SRM.
